Piano and All That Jazz Releases Something New Under The Sun
San Francisco, CA. March 6, 2009. Something New Under The Sun is the first release for record label Piano and All That Jazz. The album, featuring lyricist/vocalist Mark Stevens and composer/pianist Steven Cravis, is scheduled for release on March 6, 2009, coinciding with The Faith of Britain Day when millions of people across the globe will unite in prayer and meditation simultaneously for two minutes at 11:00 AM Greenwich time.
Mark Stevens and Steven Cravis reside in San Francisco and met in a piano retail store where Stevens worked as a salesman. With little discussion they agreed to collaborate, the result being fourteen original music compositions and song lyrics comprising Something New Under The Sun. The song “Father” tells of a grown man’s desire to express his love for his parent. “Tears of Joy” is a powerful anthem extolling the virtues of a nation. “Snowfall Sunrise” proclaims the beauty and majesty of nature in its most harsh season. Stevens’ frank vocals and Cravis’ subtle pianism are a compelling tandem throughout the compilation. The lyrics are flush with refinement. This album is a blessing unto humankind and destined to become a classic.
Piano and All That Jazz is a record label headquartered in San Francisco, CA. Something New Under The Sun, the label’s first release, is available for purchase exclusively at iTunes

![]() ![]() ![]() "Their sweeping harmonies and lush textures echo traditional folk, seamlessly mixed with the urgency and raw power of punk. A potent mix, indeed." -Creative Loafing Atlanta "These two fiercely talented women have a way of combining folk, bluegrass and pop with a sophisticated, artful ear. Love me like the roses leaves you speechless entirely." -Time Out New York "divineMAGgees deliver one of the best albums I've heard all year. Cregan and Danielle make sweet, dreamy altfolk rock that draws on everything from bluegrass to punk to jazz, intertwining acoustic and electric guitars and fiddles with their perfectly matched, harmonious vocals." -Curve Magazine ![]() | ![]()

Since the fateful night seven years ago when Cregan and Danielle met in a Boston bar and formed divineMAGgees (pronounced "Maggies"), the duo has lived up and down the east coast and performed throughout the country at festivals like Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, SXSW, and the International Folk Alliance. Now from Asheville, NC, they weave their many roots -- jazz, old time, celtic, punk & rock -- into a unique fusion of contemporary music, featuring provocative vocal harmonies, Danielle's powerful electric & acoustic guitars, and Cregan's haunting electric & acoustic violins.
